My name is Simmo, an 18-year-old self-taught artist based in the Netherlands.

I began creating art when I was around eight years old, mostly through pencil sketches. When I was fourteen, I started taking art more seriously. What began as a simple hobby slowly became a quiet, safe space. Aworld where I could slow down, explore, and create freely.

Last year, I went through a long art block. It taught me something deeply important: not to fear beginning, not to be afraid of making imperfect or “bad” art, and to find joy in the process rather than chasing perfection. That shift changed the way I create and the way I see art.

During that time, I gave gouache a second chance, and it soon became my favorite medium. I also discovered polymer clay, initially with the idea of making floral jewelry. As I continued creating, my ideas naturally evolved into something softer, more meaningful, and more intentional.

My art style is inspired by flowers, hope, and gentle growth. It is dreamy, calm, and full of softness. In a world shaped by mass production and fast trends, I want to create art that feels slow . Made from the soul, with care, patience, and intention.

Moving to the Netherlands taught me to keep hoping, to keep dreaming, and to appreciate the small, quiet moments in life. As a child, I was always drawn to special, unique pieces, and that love still lives on in my work today.
